With a turning at a radius of 43.3” on pneumatic 8” rear and 7” tires in front, you can depend on a smooth ride throughout your community, shopping mall, or outside on the sidewalk areas. The Freedom 1 also has non-marking, puncture proof tires and intelligent, regenerative, electromagnetic brakes to ensure you a safe ride. The overall width of this scooter is just 21 inches, which will allow you to go in and out of standard doorways easily.
Built to withstand average weight, the Freedom 1 also comes with many other parts that are adjustable for maximum comfort to the rider. The tiller can be set for easy reach, the seat swivels for easy transfer and can be height adjusted, and the armrests are both width and angle adjustable. For comfortable and complete handling of the scooter, the tiller control is very easy to operate and understand. Simply insert the key into the ignition for on and off function, regulate the speed control dial to ride as fast or slow as you would like, and the levers are used for forward and reverse motion. Keep an eye on the battery gauge, this will let you know the level of the battery and when a charge will be needed.
When you are on the go, you will appreciate the no-fuss disassembly. Taking apart theFreedom 1 can be done in just a few easy steps and without the need of any type of tools. Simply loosen the knob of the frame, remove the seat, disconnect the power plug, remove the battery pack and basket. Then lift the front wheel off of the ground and pull along and put into the trunk of your vehicle. Once taken apart, the heaviest piece is just 46 pounds, making it easy for you or caregiver to transport. This scooter also has two maintenance-free, sealed lead-acid batteries which are acceptable on most airlines. Always check with the airline for their specific rules and regulations.
